Kaduna: Bandits kidnap pregnant woman and seven others
On Sunday morning, gunmen suspected of being bandits stormed the community of Lema in Mando-Kaduna and kidnapped eight people, including a pregnant woman and her sick mother.
Lema community is directly opposite the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) in Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

Anambra: Gunmen abduct four travellers
Four tourists were kidnapped by alleged gunmen in Anambra State on Sunday.
Near the Nise market in the Awka South local government district, a few miles from the Governor’s lodge in Amawbia, the incident occurred on Sunday around 3 p.m. According to a source, the hoodlums’ operation lasted for roughly 30 minutes.
The suspects burnt their Hilux vehicle and made away with a SUV belonging to their victims.

Jigawa: gunmen killed two, kidnapped one
Unknown gunmen killed two people and injured two others while attempting to kidnap their target in Jigawa State’s Malam Madori local government area.
According to a resident, the incident occurred on Thursday night when hoodlums stormed the village and kidnapped one person at his home.
The state police spokesman confirmed the incident.

In Adamawa, Police apprehend fake military officer
On July 17, while on intensive surveillance patrol, men from the Adamawa State Police Command attached to Girei Divisional Police Headquarters apprehended a 22-year-old man posing as a military personnel to threaten and extort money from members of the public.
The suspect admitted to dressing up as a military man and threatening and extorting a tricycle operator for an alleged traffic rule violation last month.

Terrorists Target Plateau State Residents
During an ambush, bandits suspected of being terrorists attacked a team of soldiers at Zurak Kampani, Wase local government area, Plateau State.
Terrorists attacked the community while residents were engaged in market activities, killing one soldier and injuring another, according to the report
According to the report, the bandits stormed Pinau village in the same local government area the day before the ambush and rustled over 500 cattle.

Ondo: Eight dead, five injured in an auto crash
On Saturday, no fewer than eight people were killed in an automobile accident on the Ondo-Ore highway.
A commercial space bus and a truck were involved in the accident, which occurred on the Ajue axis of the road in Odigbo Local Government Area of the State.
According to eyewitnesses, the commercial space bus was traveling from the Akure end of the road when it collided with an Ore-bound truck carrying cows.

Bauchi: Flood wreaks havoc
Flooding has wreaked havoc in 13 communities in Bauchi State’s Darazo Headquarters of the Darazo Local Government Area.
The Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency’s (BASEMA) Acting Director General confirmed the incident on Saturday in Bauchi while answering reporters’ questions.
He also stated that emergency personnel will visit the town on Sunday to assess the extent of the damage done to the surrounding communities in order to assist them.

In Zamfara: over 100 bandits attend the turbaning of their leader
On Saturday, over 100 bandits attended the turbaning ceremony of a bandit kingpin as the Sarkin Fulani by the Emir of Yandoto.
According to a source, the bandits were going on motorcycles without their guns. It was a brief ceremony attended by a few people.
The legendary bandit who operated in the states of Zamfara and Katsina was given the title of Sarki Fulani by the Emir of Yandoto because he was prepared to embrace peace.

The state governor has suspended the Emir of Birnin Yandoto of Tsafe Local Government Area in Zamfara State for bestowing a chieftaincy title on a banditry kingpin.

Police in Anambra kill ten hoodlums in a counter-attack
Anambra State police have announced that they killed over ten hoodlums, destroyed three criminal camps, and recovered vehicles and weapons during an operation in Achalla, Awka North Local Government Area of the state.

In Imo, a top NDDC official was kidnapped by gunmen
A senior Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) official has been kidnapped near his home in the Umuadara Umulogho autonomous community of Imo State.
The dare-devil armed men abducted him in the early hours of Saturday morning, about three kilometers away from a military checkpoint in the area, according to reports.
The latest development has already been confirmed by the community’s traditional ruler.

On Friday, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command rescued 28 fish traders from Ishiet market who had been kidnapped by sea pirates along the Uruan Water Channel in the state’s Uruan Local Government Area.
