
The Zone 3 Police Command, which oversees Adamawa and Taraba States, has apprehended 42 criminal suspects in Adamawa State.
The suspects, mostly young men known as Shila Boys in Adamawa, were apprehended with forged iron tools used for housebreaking and illegal drugs such as tramadol, Indian hemp, and bottles containing liquids known locally as Suck and Die, among other things.

Borno State has declared a Monkeypox outbreak, with three of four suspected samples sent to the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, testing positive.
Two of the cases were reported from the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, where they are currently receiving treatment, while the other patient was reported from Biu local government area in southern Borno, the Director of Public Health at the Ministry of Health told journalists yesterday.

The Osun Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning’s residence was attacked on Monday.
According to available information, hoodlums suspected of being political thugs attacked Erinmo Ijesa town and vandalized his properties and many cars.

Yesterday, suspected herdsmen attacked the Mgbuji community in Enugu State’s Eha-Ehamufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, and kidnapped at least 15 people.
The victims were kidnapped around 7 a.m. on the Mgbuji-Agu road on their way to their farms.
According to a police spokesman in Enugu, the command has yet to receive definitive information about the incident.

Ten notorious suspects, including a female, have been paraded by the Niger State Police command in connection with alleged thuggery and youth unrest in Minna, the State capital.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, the youth arm of the leading Igbo socio-cultural organization, has strongly denounced the alleged murder of seven wedding guests in Imo State by the security firm Ebubeagu.
According to reports, the heinous incident happened on Sunday when the victims were traveling from Awomama in the neighboring Oru West LGA back to their community in Otulu, Oru East LGA, when the security personnel opened fire on them.
The event was confirmed by the Imo State Police Command and the President General of the Otulu community.

Five suspected criminals were arrested on Monday by the Ebonyi State Police Command for alleged conspiracy, theft, and vandalism of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, armoured cables in the state.
It was discovered that the suspected criminals, who are from the Inyimagu Amuzu community in the LGAs of Ezza South and Izzi, specialize in vandalizing and stealing EEDC armoured cables and other electrical installations.

Over 70,000 people have been displaced as a result of the ongoing killings in Taraba State’s southern region.
The Worldwide President of the Kuteb ethnic group, who confirmed the number of displaced people, lamented the death of over forty of his people.

A seven-year-old boy was killed when bandits attacked the Paikon Basa community in Abuja’s Gurdi ward of the Abaji Area Council.
According to a resident, bandits wielding sophisticated weapons stormed the neighbourhood on Friday night. Aside from the child, he said, a man and his wife were also hit by stray bullets. He also claimed that the bandits kidnapped four residents and raided some stores, stealing food.
The incident was confirmed by Gulida’s district head.
