Dear Customers,
With reference to our earlier notice to trade on potential disruption on the East – West road connecting Onne to Port Harcourt, we have gathered from reliable sources that it has been postponed following discussions between key stakeholders. With this development, traffic flow in and out of Onne is expected to remain uninterrupted on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
In the meantime, as per the latest update, the planned strike called by the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) is still expected to take effect from 1st March 2022. As per our understanding, engagement between representatives of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) and MWUN is ongoing in an attempt to avert the strike. As mentioned in previous communications, WACT Customer Service and Gate teams are available to issue Terminal Delivery Orders (TDO) and support gate deliveries throughout the weekend. However, as of today, we still have 363 open TDOs and 942 examined but not delivered containers in the terminal. Therefore, we urge customers and agents who have containers in these categories to promptly take delivery before March 1, 2022.

We shall continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds and provide further updates as required.
