The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has joined Muslims across the world to celebrate the Eid Mubarak.
The union’s leader, Com. Adewale Adeyanju, in a statement signed by the Head of Media, MWUN,Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, felicitated with Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria and globally, urging them to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed and the faithfulness of Prophet Ibrahim as recorded in the Holy Quran.
Adeyanju, a devoted Muslim, admonished Muslims to be peaceful, express unconditional love, and show affection towards one another, regardless of religion, tribe, descent, or political affiliation. He prayed for peaceful coexistence and tolerance among citizens, stressing that unity and harmony are essential for meaningful progress and development.
The labour leader commended Muslims in Nigeria for their peaceful understanding and called for more religious tolerance, especially during the country’s political period. He emphasized that living together in fear of the Almighty Allah will make the world a better place for all.
